Who will your superhero be?
We all have a superhero within us. Our inner superhero truly comes to fruition when we become parents - yes you, you’re a superhero. Think about it - you make the impossible possible every day and fight for good, no matter what that looks like. Superheroes range from Doctor Strange to Black Panther, Catwoman and even Ant-Man.
Here’s a fun way to imagine who your superhero would be. Maybe it’s Butterfly Girl who can heal anyone’s pain by fluttering by and sprinkling glitter dust or it could be Dino Beast who stomps down the bad in the world. Have fun with your kids thinking up your own superhero identity. And don’t forget, we can’t all be good at everything - that would be too boring. We each have our own special skills and bring goodness to the world in a completely unique way.

*Creative tip: Younger ones might need help thinking beyond superheroes that already exist. Open-ended questions can help!
Some questions to form your superhero identity:
What does your superhero look like?
What is your superhero name?
What are your superhuman powers?
Ways to create a visual: draw, paint, build using materials around the home, draw online (Here’s a link to some drawing apps if you or your child is feeling techy: https://www.educationalappstore.com/best-apps/best-drawing-apps-for-kids)
Next, consider making a story with your superhero. This is great practice sharing ideas using written language. (Here’s a helpful guide to help your child write a story: https://readingeggs.com/articles/2015/06/19/story-writing-for-kids/)
Most importantly, have fun imagining together! :)
